Auto Insurance Discounts

Anti-Theft Discount
A discount of 10% may apply to the comprehensive or specified perils portion of your premium if you have non-standard, professionally installed electronic anti-theft device wired to the ignition of your car. If you have selected all perils coverage, the discount is applied to the comprehensive portion only.
Satellite Monitoring System Discount
A discount of 10% may be applied to the comprehensive or specified perils portion of your premium if you have a non-standard, professionally installed satellite monitoring system in your vehicle. If you have selected all perils coverage, the discount may be 10%.
Renewal Loyalty Discount
A progressive discount may be applied to the policy at renewal, as long as the policy remains continuously in force:
- 5% — 3 years to 4 years or more
- 10% — 5 years or more

New Business Loyalty Discount
A progressive discount may be applied to your new business policy if you have been continuously insured with your immediately prior insurer.

Age Discount
One of the following age discounts may apply to any automobile on the policy where the principal driver listed is:
- Age 40–44 — 3%
- Age 45–49 — 5%
- Age 50–54 — 10%
- Age 55–64 — 12%
- Age 65–69 — 6%
- Age 70–74 — 3%
- Age 75 and over — 0%
This discount is applied to all coverages except optional increased accident benefits. Other terms and conditions apply.
Multi-Line Policy Discount
A discount of 5% may apply to all automobiles if you insure your property with EDvance, provided you have no more than one chargeable loss on any one policy in the past three years.
Multi-Vehicle Discount
A discount of 10% may be applied to your automobile policy if you insure more than one automobile with EDvance. The discount applies to all common coverages, except optional accident benefits, comprehensive or specified perils.
Short Commute Discount
A discount of 7% may apply if you have a short commute to work, within 8 km.
Student Discount
A discount of 50% may be applied to an occasional operator(s) while they are attending a college or university more than 161 km from home.
